"RUN FOR THE RIDE"
5K ROAD RACE & FUN RUN/WALK
DATE TO BE DETERMINED
2021 will be our inaugural "Run 4 the Ride" 5K Road Race/Fun Walk, focusing on raising funds for Step By Step's growing family of needy children.
Registered participants will receive a "Step By Step" T-Shirt, and a grab bag of assorted goodies. There will be beverages, snacks, and runner's support along the route.
Frequent medical needs and emergency trips to the hospital, is a fact of life for this ministry, and we need reliable transportation. Step By Step needs a 15 passenger van to help them with the demanding and frequent trips in the care for the children. Most of the Step By Step children are wheelchair bound, and space is crucial when more than even two children at a time must make the journey to the hospital. Their home is considered rural, and roads are rough, adding to the wear and tear on their current 12+ year old vehicle. We are hoping to raise the funds for this ministry van within the next two years. The children are coming.
OLD HOME DAYS - STEP BY STEP BOOTH
"Old Home Days" or "Week", is a New Hampshire original, going all the way back to 1897. Frank Rollins, the Governor of New Hampshire from 1899-1901, was the person who began the annual celebrations. In 1899, 44 New Hampshire towns held "Old Home Weeks" during the last week of August.
Step By Step Worldwide Ministries will be participating in these events during the year. Focusing primarily in the Merrimack Valley, we hope to have booths at a number of historic "Old Home Week" celebrations. Please look for us, and learn more about our 'Step By Step Kids" and how you can help.
We will have booklets, T-Shirts, an event raffle, and information available about our ministry.
Watch for updates. You can also reach out to us on "Our Contact" page.
"HIKING WITH HOPE" HIKE-A-THON
Please join us for our third annual "Hiking With Hope" event which supports the Step by Step Home for Children with Special Needs, in Ghana, West Africa. This event will be held at our primary site, Mount Major in Alton NH, and various mountains throughout the region, on Saturday September 11, 2021. The goal is to recruit sponsors who will pledge donation funds for each ascent. You are "Climbing for the kids" and 100% of the monies raised will go to resources necessary to expand facilities so we can accept more children into this growing ministry of hope. Without the love they receive from Mike and Connie, their team at Step by Step Worldwide Ministries, and friends and family like you, these children would be without hope. This event is about hiking with your heart. Every step matters.
The primary venue is Mt. Major, in Alton, N.H. This mountain is one of the most popular hiking spots in New Hampshire, with spectacular views, multiple trails, and a rocky summit, offering 360 degree views. A sunrise hike is an added bonus. The hike takes 1-3 hours maximum to complete.
For those interested in meeting with us at the trailhead, we will announce our start time on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, the week before the event.
Here are the directions:
Mount Major is located south of Lake Winnipesaukee and northeast of Straight Back Mountain in the Belknap Range. The parking area is located on Rte. 11 just 5.4 miles north of Rte. 140, in Alton, N.H.
We hope you will be able join us in our hike for our "Step By Step Kids."
